6 Healthy Christmas cookie ideas

This holiday season can get busy and overwhelming for most of us and while many would love to just crash after a long day with a tub of Christmas cookies and binge holiday bake-off shows it may not be a feel-good option every single night. Here are a few Christmas cookie ideas that may help your drop in blood sugar with some extra fiber or protein this holiday season! Don’t forget to wash down with a cold glass of milk to get in some extra protein!

  1. Almond butter cookie bars

These are Paleo, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly! Almond butter is not delicious but it’s packed with fiber, vitamin E, magnesium, B vitamins, and protein. Almonds also help stabilize blood sugar and lower ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol.
